The Gymkhana activities in college life are always special memories for everyone. MIPT students are not the exception for this. We see that each student of the Institute should participate in most of the activities. The objective of the Gymkhana is to provide opportunities to sports and cultural activities, to students by showing important responsibilities and authority to conduct of sports and cultural activities. These activities encourage social interaction among the students. Self-Government enables students to enjoy the privilege of planning and managing their own affairs through selected student associates.
We always promote the students not only to participate in Inter Class matches but also for inter polytechnic. There is an association named Inter Engineering Diploma students Sports Association (IEDSSA), which conducts Zonal and State Level matches for all polytechnics. MIPT students have won many medals in individual games like Athletics, Wrestling, weight lifting etc and Trophies in Team girls kabaddi events namely kabaddi, kho-kho, Cricket, Basket Ball, Hockey and carom for Zonal Matches as well as some for State level. MIPT always have played an important role in organizing matches for IEDSSA. In the same campus our parent Institute PVG has a gym named “Mukund Vyayam Shala” where wrestling facility & training is available. Interested students can practice there. Similarly considering our contribution towards IEDSSA, the association gave satisfactory amount to purchase weight lifting equipment, which are available to the students. Similarly PVG has a ground 3km away where students can do practice of Volley ball, Basket Ball & football at their free timings
